The sun came shining

through the gap of the curtain

piercing my left eye.



Forceful enough to make me turn my head.



Finding it to be a glorious sunrise

I wondered, why I was turned away in the first place?

Life’s distractions too often steal one’s attention

from what’s most important and most beautiful.

Glorious sunrise;

let it serve as a reminder.
