The Owl in the Concrete Tree
– A POETRY COLLECTION –
The Owl in the Concrete Tree is a collection of philosophical and spiritual poetry exploring perception, awareness, and the quiet shifts that occur when we learn to see differently.
These poems invite attentiveness to the ordinary — moments, objects, encounters — and reveal how meaning often appears where we least expect it.
This collection plays with contrast: nature and structure, stillness and movement, clarity and mystery. Like an owl perched in an unlikely place, the poems point to presence hiding in plain sight — asking the reader to slow down, observe, and reconsider what they think they know.
Some pieces are brief, haiku-like observations that awaken the senses. Others linger longer, offering space to sit with questions rather than resolution. Together, they form a gentle practice of noticing — a way of meeting life with curiosity instead of assumption.
The Owl in the Concrete Tree is not about answers. It is about perception — and the quiet wonder that arises when awareness expands.

Selected Poems
Keep Shining
Like the moon and the stars
that helps us see
one foot in front of the other
so our light within
helps light the world around.
No matter how dark
keep shining my friend
for every bit of light helps
purge the darkness
from our world.
Will I
As a storm in the middle of the night
can awaken me from a deep sleep,
a storm in my life can awaken me
to a new reality, a new perspective.
Once awakened, will I accept and enter in?
Or will I fall back into the so-called safety
of a slumbering existence?
