When we speak of parents, we say they
so why, when we speak of God,
do we allow a cliche?
Does God not embody
both father and mother?
For how else could we be in God’s image?
Biology of creation being male and female,
but each having masculine and feminine energies.
Our nature, our nurture.
Distinctly two,
yet joining together,
to form a new one.
That burst of light,
creating new life,
two becoming one, once again.
I’m not saying he is wrong
but to not acknowledge the essence of her
diminishes wisdom’s song.
Mother is spirit’s sensing; Father is soul’s knowing.
This union — wholeness and oneness — is fullness.
Intuition and insight; feminine and masculine.
Soulspirit uniting,
within the Source of all,
eternal life always to call.
That which God has joined together
let man not separate; this is truth
opening heaven’s gate.
