those who hurt you

ill emotion will rule
your heart

let go
and acknowledge your pain
for until then
resistance imprisons
your mind

invite these enemies to the dinnertable
face your hurts and pains
for until then
unforgiveness separates
and clinging suffocates

this divided self
walks in the shadows of life
oppressing others and being oppressed
forgive and let go
surrender to God within

this is how faith heals—
belief allows God to expand
your heart and mind
bringing them into alignment
where God’s kingdom reigns
