you will never live whole
running from your feelings
they are here as a guide
even if they seem reeling

you can’t escape what is within
building walls of separation that is man’s sin
cutting yourself off from God’s good grace
unwilling to look feelings in their face

they’re nothing but signals saying “take a look,
what is out of alignment, what has been forsook?”
there’s no right or wrong in how you feel
and if you want to heal, you must be willing to deal

embrace all feelings, acknowledge something’s off
they’re not to be laughed at, neither to be scoffed
no need to run, no need to hide
feelings are here to serve as a guide

aiding your soul as it develops and grows
alerting you of thoughts, both highs and lows
relax and release, surrender within
this is the power that brings battles to end
