Chase

to chase
the wide ways of the world
is to venture from the narrow path

such is the way for us all
overindulgence and inhibition
neither is proper balance

the middle way ignored
until the day of remembrance
when eyes are opened

reaching the summit
from whence we first fell
seeing the glorious view

love’s embrace
expanding beyond the sky
home is always here

the father waiting
a feast of celebration prepared
for the day of the children’s return

all are loved
 all are treasured
all are his

all
will be
one
