Angel K Will

I’m not your work of art
to be decorated, ornamented,
painted in pretty colors.

Placed upon a pedestal—
glorified and praised, or
criticized and judged.

I just am who I am,
so let me be,
I must live out my purpose,
my God-given destiny.

I’ve been instilled with passions,
personality, and unique gifts;
I was created to move about
and express my inner bliss.

I’m not saying that I’m perfect;
I make my share of honest mistakes,
but I forgive myself and ask for yours
since that is what it takes.

I seek to align with truth
as I walk in love, peace, and joy,
so let me be me
I’m not created to be your toy.
