I sung a blessing over a blue jay
in the old maple tree,
and as he flew away
he sang it back to me …

“You’re lovely, you’re beautiful,
you’re magnificent too.
I’ll now go share this psalm
sung to me from you.”

He flew high and low
singing ever so loud;
lullabies of encouragement
billowing from the clouds.

Echoing throughout creation
comforting open ears,
just the words all our hearts
desperately need to hear.

Such a simple message
carried in the winds;
truth permeating hearts
embracing love for wins.

Do you see the power
of the words we choose to say?
Will you choose to cast blessings
as you go about your way?
