can you sense the shifting
now is the time to write
for such a moment as this
put all else out of sight

busyness attempts to stray
you must cast off all that distracts
pick your character, feel the role
this is the time, now act

move throughout the story
expanding time and space
speed things up, slow them down
this is setting the pace

the rise and fall of action
highest highs and lowest lows
you have a partner, God within
teaching you, “forgive your foes”

at the climax of the story
your enemy becomes your friend
leading happily every after,
though this is not the end

all endings are new beginnings
the next chapter of life awaits
vignettes, like keys to life, turn
and see Heaven’s open gates
