Humble is the path that narrows

toward the mountain peak;
pride is the path that widens

into the valley depths.


The sun shines brightest at the highest point

casting shadows of darkness into its valleys.

Reaching the summit
of salvation’s range
requires an arduous climb.

Working out, climbing up;
this is the journey to reach the peak
where beauty is the reward.


A most magnificent perspective
from the highest of highs;
a glorious view, few seek.

Eyes focused toward the heavens;
onward, upward is the journey for me.
