Freedom comes with the release—
the release of the chains holding you down.

Chains of hurt, sorrow, insecurity.
Chains of guilt, shame, bitterness.

These chains are released through forgiveness—
the forgiving of yourself, the forgiving of others—
for you are forgiven inasmuch as you forgive.

You imprison yourself in hell’s domain
when you cling to that which was never yours to hold.

Christ paid the price once and for all people.
The veil has been torn.

Freedom comes with the release,
and release comes with the surrender
to the beauty and glory of God and The Way.
