when I was broken
when I was weary
when I was weak

it was then
that I found God

in my deepest valley
the only perspective remaining was to look up

I saw the sun casting rays across treetops
the mountains spread out like arms open wide
my feet stood firm on the earth’s foundation
as the wind sung a song of wisdom

carry on my child; I am the Way
rest in Me, every day
we’ll get through this together
you can handle any weather
listen close and trust what I say
