I lay in the grass, facing the sun.
I drape my arm across my eyes
and enter darkness.

The healing rays toast my skin.

My fingers fan the grass.
I feel their length one blade at a time
and let my mind wander.

Society would say this is unproductive,
but finding rest soothes the soul.

It invigorates your being.
It elevates you for what’s next.

Embrace eternity in this moment.
Let the Source of life fill your being.

It is only out of the overflow
you can give back.

It is not unproductive;
it is a necessity.
