Diamonds dancing across the ground
reflecting the starlit sky.
A winter chill in the air
as strangers pass on by.

I’m sitting on a wooden bench
enjoying this holiday scene.
Taking it all in;
the beauty is serene.

The smell of sappy firs,
carols echoing nearby,
cherished memories in my heart,
a teardrop in my eye.
