I hypothesize

Please
don’t hold me
to account tomorrow
for what I say today
I am growing and evolving
in a fascinating way

Just when I think I have some answers
I counter my own points of view
which leads me to new thinking
I choose not to lose

It’s a never-ending cycle,
a spider-webbed thought process,
all this unraveling of what I say today,
leads to new insights I will confess

This pushing and this pulling
of my original thoughts
it’s a swirling in my brain
as I consider what is and what is not

Sometimes it jives
sometimes it’s a bust
so please don’t hold my words against me
for that would be unjust

I am growing and evolving
in a wondrous way
for that is my life’s journey
each and every day
